Once upon a time, this location was the site of a car dealership, where the company sold Studebakers, Hudsons, and Terraplanes. After the Civil War, this location was taken over by a large meat processing facility. Mack Truck Company headquarters moved to Allentown in 1905, and by the 1970s, the company had factories in 45 countries. The headquarters of the company eventually moved to North Carolina, but the manufacturing plant still remains in Macungie, southwest of Allentown. Today, the building has been leased to J.G.
